Air

  • An un-crewed aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without any human pilot, crew, or passengers on board. 
  • UAVs are a component of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS), which includes adding a ground-based controller and a system of communications with the UAV. 
  • The flight of UAVs may operate under remote control by a human operator, as remotely-piloted aircraft (RPA), or with various degrees of autonomy, such as autopilot assistance, up to fully autonomous aircraft that have no provision for human intervention.

Land

  • An un-crewed ground vehicle (UGV) is a vehicle that operates while in contact with the ground and without an onboard human presence. 
  • UGVs can be used for many applications vehicles may be inconvenient, dangerous, or impossible to have a human operator present.

Sea: (USV & UUV)

  • USVs; also known as Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) or (in some cases) Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs), Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs), or colloquially drone ships) are boats or ships that operate on the surface of the water without a crew.
  • Un-crewed underwater vehicles (UUV), sometimes known as underwater drones, are submersible vehicles that can operate underwater without a human occupant. 
  • These vehicles may be divided into two categories: remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROUVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). 
  • ROUVs are remotely controlled by a human operator. AUVs are automated and operate independently of direct human input.

Kevin Sanders, Founder & President

Led by retired Air Force veteran and decorated Master Sergeant Kevin Sanders.  

  • Currently a partner at First Harbor Advisors, a corporate strategy advisory firm.
  • Former Director of Business Development for VolAero Drones, a South Florida-based industry-leading strategic security solutions company.  
  • Kevin is a dynamic global leader with extensive experience in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments, including aircraft maintenance and flight operations, morale, welfare, and conduct of over 1000 assigned personnel. 
  • A seasoned veteran of leadership roles in multiple large- and small-scale military campaigns, including Operation Enduring Freedom and countless worldwide UAS contingent operations.  
  • Kevin received countless awards and decorations for dedication to his country. Additionally, he was personally recognized by two sitting Presidents of the United States with a traditional “Challenge Coin” for his efforts. 
  • Excels in forwarding the safe, ethical, and effective use of innovative technologies to address public, private, and government security threats, provide incident and event management and accomplish environmental and structural inspections.  
  • Promotes collaborative business cross-tell and cutting-edge solutions throughout the innovative technology arena. 

In addition to his extensive aviation background, Kevin holds multiple accreditations, including:   

  • BS in Unmanned Systems Applications through Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. 
  • AS in Aviation Maintenance Technology from The Community College of the Air Force 
  • FAA Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Pilot certification 
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant certifications.
